Welcome to the Children's Ministry of Cornerstone Ministries. We hope you find our site helpful in getting the information you need for your family.

At Cornerstone Ministries we are convinced that the Lord has a plan for every boy and girl, and it begins to unfold with the consistent and faithful teaching of His Word. By hearing God's Word, coupled with the work of the Holy Spirit, children will learn to place their faith in Jesus Christ. Then as they continue to grow in Him and His Word, they will fulfill His plan for their lives.

We want our children to enjoy Children's Ministry, and we provide many fun opportunities; but at the same time, we make it a priority to pour God's Word into their hearts.

In addition to teaching God's Word, we provide the children many discipleship and fellowship opportunities. We hope you can take a few moments to click through our web site to find out all of the different ministries we have available for your children. Our heart is that every child will feel welcomed and loved by the Lord, and that parents would be blessed as their children are taught His Word each week.

MISSION STATEMENT

REACH OUT, EQUIP, MOBILIZE, SUPPORT
Our mission is to reach out to the children that come to Cornerstone & to those in our cummunity. Equip them & prepare them for the great adventure they will have with God. We have been given the awesome responsibility to raise up a generation of children that will love the Lord their God with all their heart,soul, mind & strenght.

We want to know God intimately, love God passionately and serve God selflessly.

WELCOME TO CHILDREN's CHURCH

You don't have to stoop low in order to get through the door but we do ask that you strongly consider this passage from Deuteronomy 6:4-9.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets (In Jewish ceremonies, a frontlet, consisting of four pieces of vellum, laid on leather, and tied round the forehead in the synagogue; each piece containing some text of scripture between your eyes). You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.

We want to ensure that everyone that ministers to children at Cornerstone understands that God's prescribed method of raising and training godly children centers in the home and not in the Sunday School room. In the above scripture God commands parents to know His Word and to teach it diligently to their children in every aspect of the life at home. In Ephesians 6:4, God teaches us that fathers (parents) are to bring their children up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Therefore we believe that our service to the children is to supplement and to encourage your ministry to the children God has given you. We along with you as brothers and sisters in the church body can model strong discipleship (learning and following Jesus) in our own lives, showing faithfulness in teaching and living out God's word. Obviously we do not believe that we are merely providing child care.

Children's Ministry Workers
All of the volunteers in the children's ministry have undergone background checks with the Napa County Sheriff's Department and has been finger printed. All coordinators and teachers are required to become certified in accordance with Cornerstones qualifications. They all wear a badge showing their certification, name and picture.

NURSERY - FIFTH GRADE:
Parent(s) fill out parent sign-in sheet for each child. Parent is to identify each child and any belongings.

When you sign in your child in the nursery you will be assigned a pager that will vibrate if our staff needs you during the service.

New parents/visitors need to fill out record sheet on each child which tells the teacher of any food allergies. Please let teach know that you are new here.

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to service. If the room is ready, children of staff and worship team may be admitted earlier.

Checking-out your child: Please come as soon as possible to pick-up your child. We will not let your child leave until you show up. If you are receiving prayer please take your time.

Please do not bring your child if sick.

CATERPILLAR CLUB

WHO: All Kids from kindergarten 5th grade and for all children that are in pre-school.

7:00-8:30 PM
WHAT: A Biblically-based, hands-on fun learning experience for your child with high-energy games, activities, crafts, music and much more! C.K.C. is a program that will teach them Biblical and moral principles, values and help them learn how to apply these values in their everyday lives.

Children's Events
It is our hope & prayers that through our monthly events the children will befriend one another and as they grow into Jr. high, high school and become young adults that their friendship in Christ will be a braid that cannot be broken.

Please DO NOT let finances be a hindrance for your child's participation. Come an talk to Pastor Gordon.
