One of the most powerful keys to impact our children’s ministry is to “Begin with the end in mind.” And what I mean by that is to simply ask, “What do I hope to accomplish?” Our vision is to bringing kids to Jesus. Our mission is to lead children to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Our plan is biblical, sustainable, and proven. We all want to see children learn to love God. In a perfect world, this takes place first and foremost beginning in the home. In a perfect world, the Church supplements and assists parents in leading their children to a saving faith in Christ and developing Christ-like maturity. However, in today’s culture, we believe that the Church must take a greater position for leading children to faith in Christ. We do this through equipping, teaching and training kids as we help them grow in Christ-likeness. Though children’s ministry should include enjoyable, positive learning experiences, the end result should go beyond simply entertaining kids and keeping them happy. If we believe the research that 80-85 percent of those who believe in Christ came to know the Lord between the ages of 4 and 14, and that more than 70 percent of teens are leaving the church today, we need to be intentional about moving children from point “A” (spiritual immaturity) toward point “B” (Christ-like maturity). And I believe we can do this by modeling Christ and by providing a comprehensive plan that teaches kids how to live as devoted followers of Jesus.
The Solution
The Bible teaches that the goals/purposes of every Church and therefore every ministry are to:
- Love God
- Love People
- Make Disciples of Jesus
What You Can Do
Cornerstone Children’s Ministry entire purpose is to help parents and teachers transform children into lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ—children who know God intimately, love Him passionately, and serve Him selflessly. This comprehensive plan ensures that children achieve balanced growth in Bible knowledge, Christ-like character, and faithful conduct—everything they need to become fully-devoted followers of our Lord Jesus. We invite you to pray fully consider becoming a part of this beautiful ministry by becoming a teacher or a teacher’s assistant. We also ask that parents help in the children’s ministry once a quarter.
We begin with the end in mind. Teaching kids to love Jesus, love people, and become His disciples.
While leading children to genuine faith in our Lord Jesus is a high priority, salvation is not the end goal. We see in the Great Commandment that we are to love God and others. We learn from the Great Commission that Jesus commanded us to make disciples. So, our goal is to teach kids to love Christ, love people, and become His disciples, although salvation is a must.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY WORKERS
All of the volunteers in the children's ministry have undergone background checks with the Napa County Sheriff's Department and has been finger printed. All coordinators and teachers are required to become certified in accordance with Cornerstones qualifications. They all wear a badge showing their certification, name and picture.

WHAT: A Biblically-based, hands-on fun learning experience for your child with high-energy games, activities, crafts, music and much more! C.K.B.C. is a program that will teach them Biblical and moral principles, values and help them learn how to apply these values in their everyday lives.

It is our hope & prayers that through our monthly events the children will befriend one another and as they grow into Jr. high, high school and become young adults that their friendship in Christ will be a braid that cannot be broken.
